Source hierarchy and verification
Primary sources—official documentation, direct records, company filings, original datasets, standards, and first-party statements—are preferred for claims they can support. Reliable secondary reporting may add context, independent verification, or competing interpretations.
A link is not proof by itself. Sources are assessed for relevance, publication date, methodology, authority, conflicts, and whether the cited passage actually supports the claim.
- Direct quotations are checked against the source and kept within appropriate quotation limits.
- Rumor, prediction, sponsored claims, and inference are labeled rather than written as established fact.
- Publication and event dates are distinguished when timing matters.
News, guides, and product coverage
News pages should identify what happened, when it happened, the evidence available, and what remains unknown. Guides should explain assumptions, prerequisites, limitations, and safe use. Reviews should distinguish direct observation from specifications, marketing material, and opinion.
First-party Jivaro release notes and company announcements are labeled so readers do not mistake them for independent coverage.
Independence, conflicts, and commercial content
Material ownership, affiliate, sponsorship, free-access, or review-unit relationships are disclosed close to the relevant recommendation. Commercial relationships do not entitle a party to factual claims, favorable conclusions, advance approval of independent coverage, or the concealment of limitations.
Writers and reviewers should disclose conflicts that a reasonable reader would consider relevant. Advertising and editorial presentation remain visually and operationally distinguishable.
AI assistance, corrections, and maintenance
