AutoQuill v0.12 Release Notes: Sticky Typing, More Accurate WPM, and Cleaner Typing Settings

What changed in AutoQuill v0.12

AutoQuill v0.12 is a typing-control release. It focuses on sticky typing, more predictable WPM behavior, a cleaner Typing settings panel, and session controls that make long typing runs easier to manage.

The update is especially useful for users who need AutoQuill to keep a target active while they monitor the run, pause output, or reset the session without losing prepared text.

Sticky typing and pacing controls

Sticky typing is the headline feature. When enabled, AutoQuill can continue typing into a selected target while the user keeps the run organized from the app. The release also improves WPM accuracy so common values such as 60 WPM and 120 WPM feel closer to their expected pace, especially across longer text runs.

The app now clarifies the standard “five characters equals one word” WPM rule, which makes speed settings easier to understand and compare.

Reset, pause, breaks, and micro-pauses

The new reset behavior is a run-state reset, not a destructive content reset. It stops an active run, clears a paused state, resets progress back to zero typed characters, returns the status to Idle, and resets the ETA/progress display. It does not clear the text box or overwrite saved profiles.

AutoQuill v0.12 also adds simulated breaks and shorter simulated pauses for users who want longer runs to feel less mechanically uniform. During a typing run, the hotkey can toggle pause/resume without fully ending the session.

Typing settings cleanup

The Typing settings area was reorganized with tighter spacing, better alignment, and a more logical flow. Reset now sits near the hotkey controls, and Loop plus Wait are presented as a cohesive feature row.
