/legal/applicant-privacy-policy

This policy applies to Jivaro-operated services that link to it. A product, store, service, or venture policy controls when it addresses the same subject more specifically.

Information collected

Applicant information may include a name, email address, location or time zone, role of interest, availability, work history, skills, portfolio links, professional profiles, answers to application questions, and correspondence.

Jivaro does not request government identity documents, banking information, medical records, or other highly sensitive files during an initial future-pool application. Applicants should remove unnecessary personal details from work samples.

Purposes and decisions

Submitting an application does not create an employment relationship, interview promise, response deadline, or obligation to keep a role open. A human remains responsible for consequential applicant decisions; Jivaro does not make final hiring decisions solely through automated scoring.

  • Evaluate potential fit for a stated role or later project need.
  • Communicate about an application, interview, test, or administrative question.
  • Maintain a limited future-interest pool where the applicant chose to submit.
  • Protect the application workflow from abuse and meet legal or recordkeeping obligations.

Sharing, access, and retention

Applicant information is limited to Jivaro personnel and service providers who reasonably need it for recruiting, security, communications, or legal support. It is not sold as a marketing list.

Future-pool information is periodically reviewed and may be deleted when it is no longer useful, when consent is withdrawn where applicable, or when retention is no longer reasonably needed for legal or operational purposes. Backup and email systems may retain residual copies for a limited period.

Applicant choices

An applicant may use the General inquiry category to request access, correction, withdrawal, or deletion of application information, subject to identity verification and lawful retention requirements. Jivaro will evaluate privacy rights based on the applicant's location and the circumstances of the request.

Contact and updates

Questions about this policy can be sent through the official contact form. Security reports and corrections should use their dedicated categories. Jivaro may update this policy prospectively when operations, law, or services change; the effective and review dates identify the published version.
